Where did you learn to draw? - Hol tanultatok meg rajzolni?
Trey: We didn’t – just look at the show.
Matt: I can’t draw a thing.
What drugs were you on when you invented Mr. Hanky, the talking Christmas turd? -

Trey: We’re just sick in different ways. I’m more sick and evil, and Matt is more sick and fucked up.
Matt: Yeah, I’m sick and twisted, but I’m not evil. Trey is evil.

Trey: German shit videos. We thought they would be really funny, but Matt seriously threw up.
Matt: I have a strong stomach for blood, guts, car accidents. But if there’s a pile of shit in there, I get queasy. It was the texture –
they would shit in each other’s mouths like it was soft-serve ice cream. You have to think about what’s in German shit. It’s not just McDonald’s.
Trey: If it were Japanese people shitting on each other it wouldn’t have been so bad. But the combination of shit…
Matt: …and Germans. The schnitzel…
Do you ever think Oops maybe we’re going too far? -

Trey: The only time that came up is when we were going to do a thing on the Nation of Islam. Comedy Central was, like, “You can’t, because you’ll be killed. We have a franchise to protect.”
Matt: Yeah, no skydiving, and no harassing the Nation of Islam.

Matt: Trey is a huge musicals fan.
Trey: When I go to New York, it’s every matinee and every night. I grew up in this small mountain town, and there was this group
of teachers and gas station owners and the supermarket guy, and they would put on these musicals in a little barn.
Matt: I never liked musicals, but I was, like, yeah, let’s make the South Park movie a musical because it’s more fucked up to do an R-rated musical.

Matt: Pimply 14-year-old boys.
Trey: Some totally hot girl will come up and say, “Oh, my God, my boyfriend just loves your show. Can I get your autograph for him?”
Where’s your favorite place to meet girls? -

Trey: Oh dude, easily $5,000. Because we’ll be at a club from 8 P.M. until 5 A.M., and I’m just buying for everybody.

Trey: Maybe $200. I prefer strippers. They’re more independent, and not, like, “Give me this, give me that.”
Have you ever been thrown out of a restaurant? - Dobtatok már ki titeket étteremből?
Trey: At Sundance we were sitting with a bunch of Canadian independent filmmakers at this really nice restaurant. I decided to break the ice by asking them to sing the Canadian national anthem. One of them looked at me and said, “So I’m your little performing monkey now?” I said that if they’d sing it, I’d pull down my pants. So they all started singing, and we stood on our chairs and pulled down our pants.
Matt: Only I wasn’t wearing any underwear, so the restaurant threw us out.
What has been the worst South Park merchandising idea? - Mi volt a legrosszabb South Park-os merchandising ötlet?
Matt: We turn down stuff all the time. They wanted to make fuckin’ South Park bibs for babies- shit that’s real kid-oriented. We even turned down Game Boy. It would have put money in our pockets, but Game Boys are for kids, and this show is not for kids.
Do people pick fights with you?
Matt: The guy who does the voice of the Chihuahua on the Taco Bell commercials tried to pick a fight with me in some bar. Apparently this guy is a fucking dick. I was with my girlfriend and this other girl, and he was, like, “Oh, if I was a South Park guy, I’d get chicks, too.” We has all angry. It got so bad I decided to go outside for a while. Yo Quiero Taco Bell.
What bizarre Hollywood death do you imagine yourself having?
Trey: We were sort of thinking we’d get killed in a – what’s it called? – a fatwah.
Matt: Yeah, a holy war. Like that Salman Rushdie dude.
Trey: Because we put Saddam Hussein in our movie as full-on gay…
Matt: And he’s drinking and smoking – all against Islamic law.
Trey: We’re already talking about our gravestones – KILLED BY THE IRAQUIS.
What’s the worst idea for a movie you’ve been asked to do? - Melyik volt a legrosszabb film, amihez megkértek titeket egy szerepre?
Matt: Baseketball. That’s why we did it.
Trey: I thought, This is the dumbest movie I have ever fucking seen. We have to do this.
Matt: That’s what lures us to projects – that it’s fucking stupid. Who wants to be part of a good idea?
